The course was very simple. Basically just watched video lectures and answered multiple choice questioned quizzes, which were also very simple. I am looking forward to attending the in person lab to get a feel for working with the installation equipment, tools, and procedures. I’ll probably have a better review of the course after completing the lab.There wasn’t much interaction with my instructor-not a bad thing. There were three graded assignments that needed to be submitted through the course portal. All of the instructions for the assignments were clear and straight forward. They were also very simple.After completing the course, I think I would have planned my approach a bit differently; reading more of the textbook and additional resources to broaden my scope of the course material and overall subject matter. I’m hoping that I still have access to the course materials to review the course content later.Overall content, but still eager to learn the technical hands-on skills.

PV101 was a well-made online class. For those who have no or very little PV related knowledge, this course would be perfect. I did wish there were more details in certain areas since I already work in the field, but I learned most of the material I took the course to learn. Self-paced and very doable. I work full-time and spent 1 workday per week over the course timeframe (about 8-10 hours per week) for those wondering. Instructors were very responsive and friendly.

PV 101 Online was a great certification course to take. SEI does a great job on teaching the content thoroughly. It's not always exciting content, but the videos are easy to follow along with.

SEI is an absolutely necessary education before laying hands on PV solar systems. I would never recommend anyone go into active practice of solar installation/commissioning without attending and gaining the crucial knowledge that is learned here. SEI houses amazing and heavily capable/knowledgable teachers. You learn from SEI, you learn from the best.
